In the spirit of Thanksgiving 2011
Since I turned 33 this year, here are 33 things that I am thankful for....
1. I'm alive and in great health. Minus having lost my mind that I haven't found yet, of course. (just joking!)
2. I've still got my immediate family (most of them) alive and in great health.
3. I have work and not unemployed.
4. I will spend Thanksgiving being able to watch football
5. I will spend Thanksgiving being able to watch basketball
6. I will spend Thanksgiving in nearly seventy degree weather why most of you will be freezing your asses off
7. I will spend Thanksgiving knowing that Miami fans can't talk crap for another whole year. (23-19 :))
8. I will spend Thanksgiving knowing the Gators have sucked ass this year!
9. I will spend Thanksgiving knowing it's damn near time for the Winter Holiday season
10. I'm glad that 2012 is just around the corner...
11. I'm glad that the NBA is locked out this season. Thank God, now I can see more NHL and College Basketball on ESPN.
12. The United States is now a safer place thanks to Barack Obama
13. The unrest in the Arab world is starting to finally die down
14. The economy has been down so damn long that we've got to be near the point of recovery
15. FSU basketball is actually no longer a national joke anymore
16. FSU football is actually no longer a national joke anymore
17. The Houston Astros are moving to the American League in 2013. Now they can't get their ass kicked by everyone in the NL anymore.
18. FSU basketball actually has a shot at a national championship
19. Bandwagon Miami Heat fans won't be crowing as much this winter
20. Bandwagon Miami Hurricanes fans are nowhere to be found at the present moment
21. It's not so damn hot right now that I can actually walk outside and not lose twenty ounces of water in just five seconds
22. The Houston Texans are actually a favorite to make the playoffs this year and make my pick look good
23. I actually get a few more months before I get bombarded with all the election crap coming next year
24. I'm getting some time off at the end of the year, and damn do I need every day of that time off!
25. FSU beat Texas A&M and Notre Dame in the Dance this year. 'Bout damn time the Seminoles won a game in March. Broke a thirteen year jinx.
26. Thank God for Satellite Radio. Oh, where would I be without thou?
27. Thank God for Sports Bars. Makes watching football, basketball, and hockey games that much better!
28. Thank God for Cable TV. Makes the world a better place when I can watch all of the sports, news, and entertainment I want.
29. Thank God for notebook computers. The world wouldn't be able to exist without them.
30. Thank God for the Internet. It makes things possible that I wouldn't have been able to do during my childhood years.
31. Thank God for Smartphones. They have made the world a better place and have advanced society light years ahead.
32. Thank God for Apple Products and Steve Job's great mind that helped pave the way. Ipods and Ipads are a damn great gadgets if I say so myself!
33. Thank God you can't go back in time! The world today is so much better than we had it ten years ago. Technology has advanced society in ways that I wouldn't have dreamed of coming out of college. Not to mention that I'm a whole hell of a lot smarter and wiser than I was back then!
