Arizona Shooting: 1/8/2011
Terrible news to hear about Gabrielle Giffords and the rest of those who were killed by a deranged, idiotic gunman this past Saturday. Many were wrongfully injured by this worthless piece of shit psychopath who decided he needed to spray bullets to make a point. Hopefully they recover.
However, please, don't blame this on guns or on derisive politics. Put the blame where it solely belongs: a society full of liberalism that has far too long coddled psychopaths and other such miscreants. They need to be treated and dealt with. Not fostered and told everything will be just fine. Guns are what allowed everyone in their country to have their freedom. Guns are what protect every day Americans from harm from intruders and other worthless shit-bag criminals. Derisive politics are always going to be a part of the American culture. Nothing can be done to stop this sort of behavior. Been this way for over 200 hundred years and it's not going to stop anytime soon. Time to stop making excuses, and start dealing with the root of the problems.
In all honesty, liberals are the cause of their own demise. Miss Giffords should have not been shot. Political disagreements or not, it should never come down to bullets taking out our leaders. What allowed this to happen? Treating the mentally ill like they have the right to do whatever the hell they want. In this case, whether he is sane or not, the death penalty should apply. You don't kill kids and you can't kill public officials. Realistically the death penalty should be scaled back, but not for crimes of this nature. The death penalty should only be used to remove the inherent danger to our society. Is it fair? Who cares. Life's not fair. The main point is that none of those people in Tucson should have died on Saturday. They did nothing to warrant being shot. If the kid had beef, he should have dealt with it another way. If he's tried and convicted fairly, the death penalty in this case is warranted.
FSU tragedy that could have been avoided: 1/9/11
Also, another sad case not involving murder with intent. Early Sunday morning in Tallahassee, an FSU Chi Omega was killed when a rifle accidentally discharged during an off campus party. Knowing it was past one in the morning, one would have to guess that drinking was involved. Damn shame that she was killed so early in life. Again, please don't rush to blame this solely on guns. I feel bad for her sorority sisters and her immediate family. Never fun to hear that kind of news, but this whole thing could have been prevented. It's called using your head and thinking before you act. If you're going to handle a gun, use common sense. Don't make the rest of us who are law-abiding gun owners be subjected to the liberal hysteria every damn time a gun is used in a crime or is accidentally discharged killing someone.
Just remember, guns don't kill people. People who use guns for the wrong purposes kill people. Don't make the rest of us pay for the mistakes of a few!
